Nestled on the slopes of Devil's Peak, the University of Cape Town is South Africa's oldest university, and is one of Africa's leading teaching and research institutions. The main campus occupies a beautiful site on the slopes of Table Mountain. The city offers a unique introduction to Africa, a changing landscape of multicultural contrasts and communities. The city has a well-developed infrastructure, with first-world health care. Cape Town is a meeting place of people of many religions, many colors and languages, and diverse traditions.
