AU Dubai offers an international perspective to your real-world learning experience. The American University in Dubai serves UAE nationals and international students who seek a quality, career-oriented education.

Undoubtedly one of the most cosmopolitan cities in the area, Dubai is the second largest of the seven emirates that compose the United Arab Emirates. The "Pearl of the Gulf" combines the bustle of a port city and international business center, creating an ideal destination for adventurous study abroad students with an interest in Middle Eastern studies, Business or Engineering who wish to pursue an international education.

American University in Dubai is located in a wonderful area just outside the city center. You can enjoy access to beautiful beaches only minutes from campus, and the city center is just a short drive away. The campus is also ideal for exploring the surrounding environment, which offers traditional Arab marketplaces, palaces, museums and historic architecture.

You'll also have the opportunity to watch camel racing, one of Dubai's largest spectator sports. Activities often include study trips, outside projects and introductions to diverse cultural events taking place in the city.

The William Jefferson Clinton Scholars Program

The William Jefferson Clinton Scholars Program at the American University in Dubai seeks to further the goals of the Clinton Presidential Foundation by strengthening the capacity of people in the United States and throughout the world to meet the challenges of global interdependence through its work in racial, ethnic and religious reconciliation. In partnership with AUD, the program gives US-based students the opportunity to expand their educational and cultural horizons by studying in the Arab world.

Clinton Scholars will receive:
  • A full waiver of tuition for one term.
  • Housing at the American University in Dubai.
Scholars must carry a full load of academic credit during each term of study. If scholars fail to remain in good academic standing as defined by AUD or fail to adhere to the AUD code of conduct, program participation will be terminated. Board, texts, transportation and extracurricular activities are the financial responsibility of the student.

Eligibility

To be eligible for a Clinton scholarship, a student must be enrolled as an undergraduate degree candidate at an accredited US-based institution of higher learning and be in good academic standing. Preference will be given to students pursuing majors in the fields of international relations and Middle Eastern or Islamic Studies, and to students who have not previously lived in a Middle Eastern country. It is expected that recipients will demonstrate exemplary academic achievement.

See the world. Expand your horizons. Live your dreams.
