Apicius - International School of Hospitality

Against the backdrop of Florence, a vibrant city layered in Renaissance art and history, you will experience hands-on cooking classes with a professional staff; wine expertise classes, hospitality, design, marketing classes and much more. In addition, the study of the Italian language and excursions to art exhibits and museums allow you to immerse yourself fully in the Italian sensibility and its connections to food, art and culture.

Located in the historic center, Apicius International School of Hospitality offers the finest academic food and wine studies in all of Italy. Programs are shaped either for people who approach "the art of Italian cooking" for the first time, or are experts in the field who wish to refresh and deepen their cultural and practical experience of Italian cooking. We consider cooking to be an art, a complete experience involving the mind, body and soul in its appreciation.

Apicius has state-of-the-art, newly remodeled facilities. The school is located just moments away from such treasures as the Duomo, the Ponte Vecchio, San Lorenzo Church, and the Uffizi. Florence's main central, indoor food market is simply a stone's throw away and allows students to learn about and use the freshest, most enticing ingredients available in the city.

SAI oversees and coordinates all aspects of your enrollment including application processing, course selection and credit, visa preparation, housing, student health insurance, transcripts, and cell phone service. SAI provides comprehensive student services, beginning with pre-departure and leading to our on-site orientation and advising in Italy.
